Good day
I enjoyed the round. The only negative is that I encountered a little too much close mowing. I almost felt like they were following me. But I know that was not the case and that they have a job to do. Maybe that’s one reason for the great deal at that particular time? Anyway, I will be back again.
Coming along!
Fairways are looking great! Greens are in good condition and seem to be improving. Sand traps need more work but much better than this winter. This course needs dry conditions to flourish. Holds water a long time. Enjoyed the day!
Fun and Challenging Course!
I had a great time playing this course. Beautiful scenery and the greens were on good condition.
Not bad
Winter conditions abound. Greens need to be cut, but may have been too soggy. Course layout has potential. Great value with GolfNow. Tee boxes need attention. Fairways in good shape considering time of year.
I holed out a shot from 155 on the second par 5 for eagle so yea… I love this course
2nd review.... course has its good and bad
This is my second review of the course. I have played it multiple time over the past 4 month and the course continues to display its good and bad qualities. As I mentioned before, there are some long holes where distance is the factor keeping your score from par.
For example, 2nd hole is a par 3 at 200+ yards from the white (on most days, as it sometimes was set a bit over 180). The tee shot is through a stand of trees on the right and left to an accessible green. The 5th hole is a par 4 at 390y and the second shot is to a very small green that is very thin and 30 yards long... very hard to hit the green with a long iron which is a typical shot from the tee. The 9th is another par 4 at almost 400. Very tough pars on these holes. But as a balance, there are several short par 4s. The 3rd is ~320y,the 4th is 280y but with a very tight landing area, the 6th is 300y, and the two par 5s are reasonable..
I have come to appreciate some of the nuances of the course. For example, on the 5th tee you see a bunker left and a stand of trees right but the trees end at about 150y and open up to an alternate fairway. From that right side, a tree is located about 120y out and very well blocks your approach to the green. Staying left is what is needed but a chance can also be had if you fade the ball right. The 7th is a short 300y but another tree is about 220y from the tee in theleft/ middle of the fairway. Place it too close to the tree and your second has trouble but too far right and you get close to water. The par 4 9th is again long at 400y an the second requires a shot over a creek. Hit it thin and you will likely have a penalty stroke.
As a 9-hole course you play each hole twice for 18 so I have started playing from different tees on each nine. One way is to play back tees going out and upper tees coming in. I also mix it up by playing back on 1, up on 2, back on 3, and so on which give me a different tee for 18.
Look, the course is not a country club and the conditions can be spotty. During the recent rains, the course was very unplayable from several spots along the track but the course had taken on replacing drainage which will definitely help. It is a course you play because the price is right, because you want some practice, or you're new to game and need a less stuffy environment to play on. It can be a fun round but not a place you need to go out of your way to visit.
Fun to play
Staff made me feel at home. Really enjoyed playing the course.
Very cool course
I enjoy playing this course even in winter conditions. Can’t wait to play it in the summer
