Well, it looks to me like this course used to be really magnificent. However, it appears as if the course has been allowed to go to pot. The fairways are mowed at best once a week and the rough has been allowed to be really high and tall. It is not unheard of to lose a ball landing in the middle of hole 8 --- and never being able to find it. Between a bad swampy area and high grass most holes are miserable. Little clearing has gone on over the years, so there is a lot of underbrush among the trees on the course. My most surprising find was the course let every green die --- none are good for putting. Not only were the greens on the holes allowed to die --- you get mud and weed stubble now --- the practice putting green was allowed to die as well. The course used to 18 holes --- is now 9. Sadly, it doesn't appear that the base cares about its MWR course. The girls behind the counter in the pro shop don't know or don't care for anything about golf and are less than friend. Best thing of the whole course is the snack bar and their wonderful cooks! Even at $40 a month for membership fees, it's not worth the hassle of losing balls and having no greens.

This once grand golf course is now a nine-hole shadow of it's former self. They don't care for course anymore. Sad to say a $10 greens fee is too high but in this case it is.

I really like this course. You cant be the price. The greens are kept in good shape. Never over crowded. Its a great course to work on your game. A good confidence course no doubt. I play it every week
