Shadow Ridge is my favorite golf course in Hattiesburg. It provides a challenge because the fairways are a bit narrow and not wide open like a few other courses are the city. Anyone can play golf on wide open fairways but how can you improve your game if that's the case? The narrow fairways I love but there aren't so many sandtraps which would make it great. A few holes are deceiving and that I like too.

If you want to enjoy your time in the course, I recommend playing from the tees of your skill level. Far too often I see players playing from the blue tees and their skill level isn't good enough to play from those tees. What that does is create a number of issues.

At the club house, you won't find a better group of people to assist you in your visit to the course.
